Uncle Jim was my favourite uncle when growing up. He lost his leg in the war when he was hit while riding his motorbike in Turkey, but never let that hold him back. He married late in life to my devoted aunt, and was extremely active fishing and boating into his retirement, and had a passion for cine film, of which many reels are lodged in the National Film Archives. He taught me to ride a quad motorbike as a child
