Grandad,

My name is Ricky. Son to Pauline, grandson to Jocelyn, great-grandson to you. I never had the pleasure of knowing you. Your daughter, her siblings, and subsequent relatives still speak of you fondly to this day.
Your wife never married after you died. She promised to never marry again after you died, and she stayed true to her word. She was a pillar of strength to everyone, and even now, 24 years after her death in 1994 (on her granddaughter's birthday, no less), she remains in our memories.
Brian has also left us, 3 years ago. We miss him terribly, and we pray that his journey to the other side was a safe one.
We laid you to rest in Waitakere, where you have been since joined by Helen Laurie Pettigrew, Pauline Helen, Jennifer Ann, and Trevor Allen. Brian has since been interred there.
