James (Jim, Jimmy) Francis Keenan was a beloved husband to Aileen Veronica Nee Brosnahan and father to John, Marieann, Stephen, Rosemary, Sharron, Mark and Michelle. He was a doting Grandfather to Anoushka, Nick, Matthew, James, Luke, Mara, Logan, Connor, Brianna, Brydie, Shaeleigh, Kaitlin and Keiran. A Great Grandfather to Lily, Fergus and Oscar (The latter posthumously) His grandson James is soon to be a father.
Our Dad lies with Mum in the Hokitika RSA cemetery and their gravesite is visited and tended to lovingly by our family.
He was a kind and generous family man and very involved in our local community. His great loves were his family, his church, the community, conservation and sport; particularly horse racing. He had shrapnel in his knee from WW2 that he would say reminded him of those less fortunate than himself who didn’t return home to New Zealand.
We miss him every day.
