I could not be prouder of you as NZ/Australia honour all the service Personnel who gave their all (& still do) protecting our countries. You joined the Infantry of a country that wasn't your own but made my Mum (& your wife of nearly 67yrs) so so proud that you fought with her countries men and women. Today I also honour your own Father (My Grandfather Herbert Arthur Raggatt) who in the 1st, World War spent time in Gallipoli before being Medically Discharged. Through his example you then in turn took up arms in the 2nd World War. Thank you for the many diaries you kept during your years away. They have enabled me (& your precious Grandchildren) to learn about those four years of your life you which you gave so willingly to ensure both our countries were able to continue enjoying the freedom you all enabled us to have. ♥️❤♥️❤ Always loved and remembered Dad.
