refer also photo in the Stratford Hall of Remembrance (situated on west side of main street between the clock tower and south roundabout) where a group photo of Stratford men in the Dardanelles is hanging. I am not 100% certain this is our Thomas featured in the photo as he embarked after the Dardanelles campaign. The photo may be incorrectly attributed to the Dardanelles area. There is no other record of a T Wallace (casualty) in WW1 from the Taranaki area, however there may be another T Wallace from the Stratford area who returned home.
