Jeff met Joy Myrie FitzGerald on Final Leave in NZ. After he returned to NZ they married in 1946 on June 6th. Originally living in Ashburton, where they had two daughters - Susan Rosemary (1947) and Linda Ann (1948), the family moved to Christchurch where Christine Joy was born in 1952. Jeff had 7 grandchildren who loved him dearly. Kirsti, Sally, Shaun and Brett (Susan and John Collins) Rebekkah, Jane and Abbie (Linda and Chris Pickrill) All live in NZ. Christine and partner Ken Raffe live in Australia
