I was born 1/11/45 and my middle name is Cartwright - in memory of Jimmy According to my mother he was a fine footballer and may well have been an All Black if the tour to South Africa had not been postponed until after the war I was reminded about my connection to him every time his name was read out at my school (where a name was read from the Roll of Honour each morning)
