Note
For many years I had yearned a personal connection to Anzac Day. Just a few weeks ago, and nearly 30 years of my life, I have only found out that you, my Great Grandfather Richard Te Paa, served in WWI. I often looked at your grave stone while visiting my grandmother Beverly Te Paa your daughter, and something always drew me near to you whilst visiting. It lightens my heart now that I have found that connection. I knew it must have existed somewhere and now I know where. From now on, every Anzac Day is going to mean a whole lot more than what it was to me in the past. I am proud of your achievements and I am proud to be a direct descendant of you. My whole hearted Anzac Day contributions are dedicated to you and I look forward to passing the knowledge of your existence to the next generations. Love you, Tisina and whanau xxxx
