John (jack) was my Grandfathers Brother. It saddens me that he was taken at 28 and never married. I have a copy of the final Family portraits which were photographed at the homestead in Harwood a few days before he left for war. One of the 5 girls, another the 5 boys and last of William and his second wife, Maryanne Pearce. RIP our brave Solder.
