Dear Walter, gentle, loving soul. . my great uncle whom i never met, but have heard much about. . I think of you every year, and sent something of mine with a cousin, to Gallipoli, in 2014 ( where you rest forever far from your family), so that you have a piece of your kinsfolk buried now, near to where you were slain. . . Your last recorded actions were from your comrades, who said that you left the trenches under gunfire, to give water to the injured who were dying. . Kind actions were your last actions. . May we honour your memory by offering comfort and kindness to those who suffer around us today. .
