Note
I am Allan's great-granddaughter and would have loved to have met him, but he died quite young in 1944. The family story states that he was never the same after the war and was in fragile health which may have contributed to his early death. We are so thankful to Allan for many things, that he was willing to go to war to secure our future is just one. My family are lucky enough to live in the house that he built on Park Ave. We think about him all the time and have photo's of him up around our house. His widow was my Great-Grandmother who lived until 1997 but never remarried. Allan was an artist and a photographer who brought back an album full of photo's that he took while he was in Egypt and Palestine. These have been donated to the Museum. I still have a book of the drawings that he did while he was away and his medals. Thank-you Allan.
