My Uncle Alf - actually Great-Uncle, was a quiet, reliable, good farmer. His father Charles Pearman came to NZ as a Albertlander on the ship Hanover. I remember my uncle as never saying a word. He lived with his sister Hilda. We used to have Sunday lunch at their house. Alf and Hilda were solid members of the Wellsford Church of Christ. Alf is buried in the Wellsford cemetry. With the money he left me, I bought my first car - a mini!
