Tamaho Ereatara
Date Posted
I will never forget you koro Tamahou. You were our neighbour in Taneatua for over 50 years. I was I2 years old when you passed. Most mornings you would sit out in the sun on your turu holding your tokotoko, enjoying the warmth. Your only language was Māori. My mother Waina would always talk to you in te reo and I know you so enjoyed her company. The war certainly had an impact upon you. Stories and memories of it that I as I child would never fully understand. I just want to say e koro Tamahou, thank you for giving your life for us. You will never be forgotten. Moe mai e koro moe mai. Arohanui mō ake tonu atu.
