My Dad was one out of seven to first leave their small valley of Matangirau. Out of the seven originals only dad and one other returned home. My Dad was tall (ft) of solid build and his presence was always felt when he entered a room. He was a quiet humble man that always provided for us. He never really spoke about his experience but was always worried when I was out on an exercise. The very few times he did share about his experience with me. He would always stress "never get caught my baby".
