My daughter Karen lives next to Arnos Vale Cemetery in Bristol. There is a small CWGC plot mostly servicemen who died in the nearby wartime hospital. Amongst these is John's memorial. He died when his plane crashed into the sea in the Bristol Channel.
I am a Welshman but lived in NZ for a number of years but not near Carterton. On Remembrance Day and Anzac Day we place a poppy next to the stone.
So far we haven't traced any descendants but will contact Carterton library and RSA.
