Note
Known to my family as Jack Evans, he was my fathers friend from school. The story is my father left school to work on the family farm while Jack continued his education which qualified him to apply for Officer/Pilot Training. While still in England after the war, my father visited his grave which had Nasturtium's growing on it, which was also the name of one of the Corvets my father served on in the Atlantic. My father always had them growing in his garden as a way of remebering his mate and would tell us this story if we asked.
