Dear John Thomas Taylor,
You are my Great Grandfather and I never got to meet you. Your daughter Mabel, who was my grandmother, always spoke so highly of you. I learnt about how she had to help you with your severe asthma. When you weren't in the army, you were a butcher in Thames, and you looked after people who couldn't afford much by giving them meat, and bones to make soup. You were known as a generous man.
