Uncle Ralph and his brother Leonard were my father's mother's brothers ie my Great Uncles. We used to visit Uncle Ralph and Aunt Lucy in Nelson regularly. Uncle Ralph talked openly about his Gallipoli experiences with me and told the tale many times of him landing with his brother and never seeing him again thereafter. He was fun company and a thoroughly lovable Uncle.
