: Memorial of Squadron Leader G.E.Milnes in Tehran/Iran
: My wife and I recently visited the war memorial cemetery attached to the British embassy in Tehran. We were there to celebrate my wife's grate grand uncles's 100th death anniversary who also died in Persia and his memorial is in the same cemetery (Serjeant John Edward Weld). In our visit to the cemetery, we found 4 other New Zealanders who are also buried there. One of them is Andrew Jackson Blyth. I have a photo of all the headstones of all the fallen New Zealand solders in that cemetery. If anyone is interested, I will be more than happy to share them. Other solders are: Serjeant John Edward Weld (Canterbury Infantry Regiment) Captain R K Nicol (Wellington Infantry Regiment) Captain T.W.L. Rutherford (6/718 Canterbury Regiment, died 18th October 1918) Squadron Leader (G.E. Milnes, pilot Royal New Zealand Air force, died 18th January 1943)
: Photo was taken in British War Memorial cemetery in Tehran/Iran 31 December 2017 by Babak Baroumandi and Suzanne Weld
