Describe the image: Robert Bullians, Reg No: 8656, left side. with two comrades (unknown). Location, unknown. Robert rode his horse from Taumarunui to Auckland to embark on the SS 'Drayton Grange' 14-4-1902, for South Africa. Although the 10th, saw very little active service, he was not permitted to bring his horse home with him at the end of the war. So rather than the horse go to the "Turks" he shot it. This upset him greatly. On his arrival back in NZ he got another horse which he rode back from Auckland to Taumarunui !!
