Roxburgh was being held in camp 47, which is a Modena, Northern Italy. He escaped from the camp after the Italian Armistice (08 09 43) and for some time was with a band of partisans in Umbria Italy. I have a document on which he appears which was found amongst the papers of one of the band's leaders. I have also reason to believe that when he escaped from Modena he may have been with Lt. Mitchell. Whereas Mitchell reached Allied lines there is evidence to suggest that Capt. Roxburgh was recaptured. I would welcome any information which confirms that he was then sent to Germany.
