Describe the image: Private George Stringfellow crossed the equator aboard RMS Corinthic on 17 May, 1917 and was granted Freedom of the Seas by Neptune, Rex Maris (King of the Seas). The countersignature is uncertain but likely "F Hart" for Commander Frank Hart, R.N.R. A better quality version of this certificate - front and back - is also available in .PDF format.
