Johnstone, d. 3 August 1918. E. Pirimi, d. 14 July 1918. R. Cochrane, d. 3 August 1918. This photo supplied in commemoration of the death of my great uncle Eric Norman Tarrant, on 3 August 1918 in the battlefields of the Pas de Calais. 12 New Zealand soldiers are buried at the Foncquevillers Military Cemetery. Eric and his four colleagues are buried together, while the other NZ'rs are among the 634 gravesites at this beautifully maintained cemetery.
