He was owner of the Cowes Bay Hotel, postmaster and police constable. Ada Insley (later Pert) is standing in the centre, wearing a light coloured lace dress, a brooch, a band in her hair. The young boy standing in the front wearing a tweed coat, a dark coloured shirt is Charles S Insley; and the woman seated far left wearing a dark coloured, striped jacket, a light coloured blouse is Agnes Insley.
