Describe the image: Serviceman Thomas Alexander Mallon wearing RNZAF uniform. Pilot Officer Mallon served with the Royal Air Force 488 Squadron and was killed in action on 12 March 1945, aged 30 years. Thomas Mallon was the son of Alexander and Dora Mallon, of New Plymouth. Buried at Bergen-op-Zoom War Cemetery, Noord-Brabant, Netherlands. His brother John Charles Mallon also served in the Royal Air Force and was tragically killed in action on 8 October 1940.
