Souvenir. This is a carving of a flying fish on a stand. It has been made from a light coloured wood material type. A small stand has been whittled and then inserted into the belly of the carved fish. The fish figure has been positioned on an angle with its head angled higher than its tail end. It has been carved with an open mouth that feature thorn-like teeth components of the same wood material. A talla (serrated) edge has been carved out to define upper and lower fins of the fish. Two larger fins have been attached to the sides of the body to define the fish figure as a flying fish. The eyes have been inlayed with another type of wood material. The large pectoral fins portray text that has been carved into the wood. The right wing features the following: "Made by Wallace Warren" and the left wing features, "Souvenir from Pitcairn Island". The sale of such curios form a large part of local income for Pitcairn Island.
