Te tui pule. Cowrie shell pendant necklace. This tui pule is strung with pule kena (light-coloured cowrie shells) onto nylon string. A large pendant is centred on the tui pule in the form of a large circular disk woven from white taa (peeled and dried young coconut leaves). It is decorated with pule kena around the perimeter. This tui pule can be worn as personal adornment or as part of dance costume regalia.
