Kumete

Kumete. Bowl. Used as a container to hold food or liquids. Carved from rakau (wood). Kumete is tear drop shaped, carved to form a spout at one end. Kumete has slightly raised stub at the rim acts as a handle. Base of the kumete has four carved "feet" on which it stands. Dark brown in colour.
