Fue sina. White fly whisk. Fue are predominantly used by tulafale (talking chief) or high chiefs and are carried by them while making oratory presentations. Although fue resemble fly switches, the whisk part is usually made from 'afa (coconut sennit braid) or horse hair if it was owned by a high chief. Fue consist of the two parts, the handle and the whisk. The handle can vary in length and width and types of wood and the whisk is made from fuafuati (bundle) of 'afa (sennit) or horse hair. Decorations on the handle, if any, are purely to the discretion of the tufuga (master craftsman); the types and lengths of strands in the fuafuati are dependant also on the tufuga and who the fue is for. This fue has a long black wooden handle which tapers out into a decorative twist at the base. The whisk is made from light coloured horse hair which has been plaited and knotted at the base and then left loose.
