Toki. Adze. Multipurpose tool used for carving wood and other materials. Carved from basalt toka (stone). Dark grey in colour. Triangular cross-section. Chipped at cutting edge. Shallow bevel. Front of blade slightly rounded near the sides. Raised shoulder reduced to butt. Pecked at butt. Flaked at the poll. Overall surface of the adze is polished with areas of pecking and flaking still visible at the butt.
