Moto. Barbed spear. This Moto is carved from kau (wood) into a long cylindrical shaft and sharpened to a multi-barbed point at the attacking end. The shaft is tapered with the widest point at centre of the shaft. The spear point has six tiers or cuffs of carved wooden barbs although several individual barbs are missing. Finely braided magimagi (coconut sennit) is lashed tightly around its base. The Moto is dark brown in colour.
