Bilo ni Yaqona

Bilo ni Yaqona. Coconut shell cup for yaqona (kava). Consisting of the cut lower half of a qa ni bilo (coconut shell). Pointed base with two holes drilled through with a thread of vau (hibiscus) threaded and looped through the holes. A cord of made of plant fibre is tied to the vau. The cord is also looped through a historical tag with "Kava cup belonging to kava bowl in wooden case" written across the tag in dark-coloured ink. Light-coloured markings visible across inner surface. The Bilo ni Yaqona is brown in colour.
