Matau. Fish hook. Shank of light coloured pearl shell. Hook point of light coloured pearl shell. 3 holes drilled at base. Snood looped through third drilled hole. Horse hair hackle lashed to shank and hook point. Snood of cord then attached to shank drilled hole, extra fishing line piece separate.
