Kali. Headrest. Carved from kau (wood), consisting of a rectangular rest, flared towards ends. The rest is flat and rectangular in section. Underside of the rest has a strengthening bar with carved triangular notches along the length. Two yava ni kali (support legs) lashed to the underside of the rest with magimagi (coconut sennit) and some form of resin to the join underneath. The yava ni kali are horse shoe shaped with square feet. One foot broken off. "WERINA" incised into the top surface of the rest. The surface of the underside is matte. Dark brown in colour.
