Kete. Bag. For carrying personal items. Woven from rauara (pandanus leaf) strips in plain check pattern with dyed-brown/red apuraka (giant swamp taro) akamanea (decorative) overlay. Commencement from the base and finished at the rim. Two tatai (handles) are attached to top of kete. Dyed-brown/red apuraka akamanea overlaid against the natural background centred on each side of the kete consisting of multiple lozenge shapes grouped together.
