Moto Coga
human history
Moto Coga. Barbed spear. Carved from kau (wood), with the ulu ni moto (spearhead) consisting of four coga (barbs) made of kau. The coga are lashed to the upper area of the tolo ni moto (body of the spear) using threads of plant fibre, possibly cotton thread. The lashing is coated with a black substance or resin, further securing the coga to the tolo ni moto. The Moto Coga is possibly coated with a vanish or a resin.
