Te kai n tautauri. Porpoise bone peg. This is a peg made of porpoise bone. Two prongs and a stubbed centre node shape its form. It is hard in material and porous in texture. It is off-white in colour and in some areas a slight brown tint comes through. It was used as a peg inside the house to hang things with.
