i Wau Bulibuli. Domed club. This i Wau Bulibuli is carved from hardwood. It is intended as a weapon for short range combat. This bulibuli consists of a domed head with circular nodules across its surface, and a long tapered handle adjoining. The handle is cylindrical and flares slightly towards the butt end. An incised ring around the circumference of the handle at the midway point sees the commencement of a band of tavatava (shallow incisions), zigzag in design, that is carved somewhat diagonally down the length of the grip. The i Wau Bulibuli is dark brown in colour and has a glossy patina.
