Te butika. Knife. A large raum (mussel) shell in a jagged shape is lashed with te kora (coconut sennit) to the mid section of a shaft carved from te kanni (coconut wood) that is carved to a point at one end. The shaft of te kanni is medium brown in colour. The raum is double peaked and dark in colour. This butika was used for cutting down fruit of the kaina tree (pandanus).
