Te kora
human history
Te kora. Coconut sennit cordage. Made from benu (processed coconut husk fibre), te kora is rolled on the thigh in a 2-ply twisting process to create longer lengths of cordage, used for myriad domestic purposes. This example of te kora is thick in diameter, and natural in colour. Currently this example of te kora is stored loosely coiled.
