Te taubare
human history
Te taubare. A broom for sweeping floors of the bwia (house). The taubare consists of multiple noko (coconut midrib) with te kora (coconut sennit fibre) lashed around their base causing the noko to splay out as well as forming a loop handle. The noko are long and straight, stiff enough to adequately perform domestic sweeping around the home. The taubare is natural in colour and lightweight.
