Te mwae te ningoningo. Shell Neck ornament. This mwae (Neck ornament) consists of a series of perforated te ningoningo (gastropod snail shells) of a light yellow colour woven to a base of baan ni kaina (pandanus). The baan ni kaina is natural in colour. There are two areas along the mwae where ningoningo are missing from the design.
