Japanese Zero (Mitsubishi) after landing at Piva Airstrip, Tororina Bougainville Island. After its discovery at the edge of Japanese Kara Airfield in 5th Bougainville by Aust Wirriway Flt. Lt and C Stewart RNZAF photographer, it was tested by NZ ground engineers and flown North by W/CMDR Koeford RNZAF (under propellor). Sqn. Ldr. T Dunn centre, Rmdr RNZAF air and ground crews.
