    12/289 Corporal William Brian de Laval Willis was born at Cambridge, Waikato, New Zealand, on 17 May 1888. He died on 12 May 1915, at Deaconess Hospital, Alexandria, Egypt, from wounds received in action, and was buried at nearby Alexandria (Chatby) Military and War Memorial Cemetery.
