- Ko Karina Mihaka-Edmonds taku ingoa. I am a direct descendant of Wiremu Mihaka (Tia) through his brother Hone, my grandfather. Wiremu (known by Papa Tia) was born in Te Ahu Ahu of hapu Ngati Hineira and Te Uritaniwha, his mother is Raiha Ruhe and father Eruera Mihaka. He was the youngest of eight siblings. Keita(Leef), Miringa(Wikaira/Rakete), Ngamihi (Le Noel), Hone Mihaka and three deceased siblings (Netana, Ani and Akinihi). Papa Tia never had children of his own. He is remembered by his photo on the pakanga memorial wall in Parawhenua Marae and we mokopuna still reside in his beautifully renovated kainga at 95 Te Ahu Ahu Road. He is laid to rest in Pirikotaha with his whanau.Public - Karina - Direct descendant - 16 May 2022 - https://www.facebook.com/groups/1376936855962424/search/?q=papa%20tia
