Kōrero taurongo
- John Muriwai was the son of Perene and Erana Muriwai, of Maraeroa, Hokianga
Brother of Tame (Tom) Muriwai 16/475.
The Northern Advocate obituary gives Muriwai's age incorrectly as 22 years. The WWI Nominal Rolls give Muriwai's address on enlistment as "Mananoa" and his father's address as "Manaroa". Both are misspellings of "Maraeroa". Listed at Archives New Zealand as MURIWAI, John - WW1 N/N - Army(no number)
Next of Kin: Mrs E. Muriwai, Maraeroa, Hokianga (Roll of Honour, Auckland Province 1914-1918 (Volume 2)) AWMM
