Kōrero taurongo
- Stephen Archer was the son of Fulbert Astley Archer and Amy Charlotte Archer, of Christchurch, New Zealand.
"Entered the School in May, 1910. He was in the XV. and the Shooting VIII. After a brief career on the land at Opotiki, he joined the 1st Machine Gun Section of the Canterbury Mounted Rifles, and left with the Main Body. He landed at Gallipoli on May 12th, and was killed on June 22nd, 1915. Commonly known as 'Rusty,' he was universally beloved by his contemporaries. His Lieutenant, an old Christ's College boy, speaking of his death in a letter to his brother, said: 'It hits pretty hard, as he was without exception the finest man it has been my lot to meet." (In Memoriam, 1914-1918 [Wanganui Collegiate School])
He landed on Gallipoli 12 May 1915 and was killed in action 22 June 1915
