  • Jim was my boss in the Overseas Telegraph Branch in Wellington. Set a high standard. A hard man but a fair man. Earned the respect of all his staff. Finished up Chief Post Master Auckland.
    POW of the Italians. When the Italians capitulated he walked out the gate with a few others before the Germans arrived arrived. Survived a hard time in the hills and returned to the British Lines on Christmas day.
