    Embarked Wellington, 31 May 1916; disembarked Devonport, England, 26 July 1916; marched in to 3rd Reserve Bn, Sling Camp, 28 July 1916, and posted to 2nd Canterbury Company, and reverted to the ranks.
    Proceeded overseas to France, 28 August 1916; taken on strength, 1st Bn, Canterbury Infantry Regiment, 22 September 1916, and posted to 12th Company.
    Killed in action, 12 November 1916.
