  • Hello, I live in Leeuwarden and am a regular visitor of Len's grave at the Northern Cemetary. Because it's impossible to adopt it I take care of it a bit so now and then. Years ago I found a very impressive article about Leonard in the newspaper I used to work for. I was touched by the fact he lived eleven months in hospital after his Lancaster was shot down by the Germans in 1943. All alone in a room and he never got any letters. Years later German Ruth Klose from Hamburg who nursed him gave his family back some personal belongings like his wristwatch. I would be very pleased if someone could bring me in contact with his familiy. Best regards, Gerry (Gerrit Jan)
